Barcelona Turisme launched a new programme at The Travel Convention this week. The programme is designed to attract tourists with high-spending power.
Six travel agencies and eight Grand Luxe hotels have got together to market, plan and organise high-quality breaks to Barcelona. These breaks will include rental of yachts and limousines, gastronomic experiences served by renowned chefs and getting a wedding dress made by a prestigious designer.

The 2009 Travel Convention starts today in Barcelona, with over 900 delegates expected to attend over the next three days.
Keynote speakers include Micky Arison of Carnival Corporation, Peter Long of TUI and Mark Hudson of PriceWaterhouse Coopers.
The Cruise Forum and Luxury Travel Forum will be running alongside the main convention.
