Rain spreading across the country this week.

There are no Spanish Meteorological Agency alerts in place today.
Cloudy intervals with the chance of a light shower in the SE of the country, above all during the morning. Showers could also be seen along the Mediterranean Coast, in the area of the Strait, and across Andalucía.
Elsewhere clear skies in general, but cloud will increase from the NE later in the day, with light showers later in Galicia.
Cloud increasing too on the Canaries with the chance of a shower in the north of the islands and the East of Palma where rain could be moderate.

Morning mist to the SE of Madrid, in La Mancha and in the Valencia region.

Winds moderate Easterly in the Strait and Alboran.
Northerly moderate along the Catalan coast and Mallorca, veering S- SW later.

Outlook-
Spain and the Baleares will be under the influence of a deep Atlantic depression which will hit the country tomorrow and bring in active fronts moving from West to East across the mainland. The rain will hit the Mediterranean coasts tomorrow or Wednesday when rainfall is expected to be moderate, and persistent and heavy in places, from the Pyrenees to Andalucía.

Cooler temperatures and showers on the way

There are Spanish Meteorological Agency Alerts in place for rough seas and strong winds in several parts of the country today.
Orange alerts affect the coasts of Menorca, and there are yellow alerts in place on the east of Mallorca, off Girona, in the Strait and the coasts of A Coruna and Lugo.

Cloudy with the chance of intermittent light showers in the Valencia region and Costa Blanca and Costa Cálida today, which could also affect other areas in the SE of the country.
The rain will ease as the day continues.

Elsewhere it will be generally clear apart from some cloud in the far north of the country and again in the area of the Strait. Cloudy intervals too on the Balearics and in the north of the Canaries. Chance of a shower in Almería also today.

Winds Northerly moderate to strong on Menorca, NE of Mallorca and Girona, and weak to moderate on the canaries. Strong Easterly winds in the Strait, moderate to Strong along the Andalucian Coast and moderate in Cantabria.

Outlook
Costa del Sol, Costa Almería: It should be clear and sunny until Friday when isolated showers and cooler temperatures can be expected.
Costa Cálida, Blanca South and North: Clear tomorrow but partly cloudy with showers possible on Thursday and Friday.
